Privacy notice
What happens to information when you browse the public site or try the demo.
Who this notice covers
This notice describes how PrepForBoard handles information on this public website and its interactive demo. Privacy questions can be sent to our contact form.
You can browse the site and use the demo without an account or payment. There is no added analytics service. If you choose to contact us, the form asks for your email address, a topic, and your message.
Your display preference
If you choose a light or dark theme, the site saves that preference in this browser's local storage. It is not linked to an account or sent to a server. Clear this site's data in your browser to remove it. Resetting the demo removes demo progress only.
Demo answers and progress
The question on the home page keeps your choice in memory only; refreshing or leaving the page clears it. The full sample chapter saves your answers, flags and question position in this browser's local storage when available, so you can continue after refreshing. The chapter also works without saved progress. Neither experience sends your answers or progress to a PrepForBoard account or server.
Use the demo's reset control to remove its saved progress, or clear this site's data in your browser. Data can remain until you do this or your browser removes it. It does not sync between devices, and anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see it.
Hosting and security information
Loading a website sends technical information over the internet. Our hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, requested pages, request times, browser information, and security events to deliver the site, diagnose faults, and protect it from abuse.
We use Hetzner for hosting. Hosting may involve processing outside your country. A browser-only demo does not mean the website has no technical logs.
See Hetzner's privacy information for its practices. Log retention varies by service, record type, and applicable requirements; resetting the demo does not delete infrastructure logs.
When you contact us
When you submit the contact form, your email address, selected topic, message, request reference, and submission time are saved in a private support queue on our server. We use these details to handle and respond to your request. Support records are separate from the public website files and are not made publicly available.
We keep support requests to handle the inquiry and maintain necessary records. You can use the contact form to request correction or deletion, subject to applicable record-keeping duties. Do not send passwords, full payment card details, patient records, or sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Your choices and questions
You can reset the demo and manage site storage through your browser. Use our contact form to ask about information we hold or to request access, correction, or deletion. The rights available and any exceptions depend on the law that applies to you.
This notice covers the public website, sample chapter and contact form described above. Account registration and payments are not collected through this website. If you purchase through a separate process, review the terms and data-use details provided with that order.
